Back in the kitchen and I’ve decided to share my homemade applesauce recipe. I’ve been baking for quite a while now and I want to improve on it by using healthier ingredients, lower calories, and definitely dairy-free. This homemade applesauce recipe is perfect to use especially during the Fall season when we just love more cinnamon.

Finally wrote this recipe separately for easy reference. I like making my own applesauce instead of buying ready-made or instead of using oil and butter as a fat replacer and binder although I still stock vegan butter.
This applesauce has no added preservatives and I just added some lemon juice, vanilla, and cinnamon powder. It’s an easy recipe that everyone can make.
While it is said that applesauce originates from Europe it has become widely used in America and can be prepared in two ways using peeled or unpeeled apples.
For this recipe I use Fuji apples which are naturally sweet, they have a long shelf life and are also easily available to me.
