Learn how to make dalgona coffee with just a few steps sure thing it will keep you cool and chill. No fancy equipment needed and the best thing about this drink you can always make your own vegan version of it.

WHY YOU NEED THIS DRINK

It’s great for a morning wake me up drink.

This dalgona coffee can be enjoyed as an afternoon drink and refreshment too.

A great lactose-free drink for everyone.

ORIGIN OF RECIPE

Originating from South Korea, this Dalgona coffee is something new to me. I saw some friends do the Dalgona coffee so maybe I should try one. Although I’m not really a coffee drinker I cannot say no to trying this easy and fancy whip drink.

Maybe you have seen this too on Tiktok and it really became viral that it’s called TikTok coffee instead of dalgona coffee.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • medium-size bowl
  • whisk or hand mixer

TROUBLESHOOTING THE RECIPE

Before actually perfecting Dalgona coffee I made several trials because my mixture was not successful. It wasn’t whipping at all or not reaching that whipping peak. What worked for me is that instead of using a porcelain bowl I use a plastic bowl.

Also, make sure to use a medium-size mixing bowl having some air to be incorporated during the whipping can help speed up the process.

It only took me 4-5 minutes to achieve my desired texture when I used a small plastic bowl as compared to the ceramic.

SUBSTITUTIONS

I tried both oat milk and almond in making my dalgona coffee and since we use sugar it is better to use unsweetened milk.

You can use hot and cold milk and some ice cubes too if you prefer.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons granulated coffee or coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoons granulated brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • Dairy-free milk
  • Pinch of Cinnamon (optional)

Aside from manually mixing you can use your electric hand mixer, just attach the whisk.

I use both brown and white sugar in this recipe.

Both granulated and powdered coffee will work too.

The whip coffee is good for 2 servings.

    1. Hi, yes it’s doable with brewed coffee just still needs to dissolve in water also it will just take longer, but if you like stronger flavor and more caffeine then it’s possible. You can also try espresso. Thanks.
