It’s funny that I made my account with wordpress Five years ago March 2015 to be exact but I never really did anything whenever I write I will use my tumblr to share it (Iamjeangrey24 a hobbyist by heart) well Five years have passed and here I am writing my very first post.

I hope its not too late to learn to navigate my way around wordpress. Its time to get out of my comfort zone and write more to share my passion and to help readers give valuable information.

Moving To WordPress
If you have a passion for writing or sharing something that you know will be beneficial to others don’t hesitate to pursue it. I know it can be a scary thing to suddenly let the world know you are writing I felt that too. But then there’s this happy feeling inside too that hey I’m writing and moving to wordpress finally.
Moving to wordpress is one of the best things that I did. I know that this will be a lot of work especially if you have a full time job but at the same time it is also rewarding.
When you move to wordpress you have to start with the basics of legal papers to make sure that you and your website is protected. By doing it your website will look more professional. You can check out the legal templates here to help you with the legal papers and at the same time they also offer other courses that are helpful and free. When you are starting to blog treat it as a business even if you are not selling anything, make it professional looking and don’t hesitate to ask for help.
It doesn’t matter whether you have 1-5 articles written in there because google takes time to recognize your blog. But it is important to have the article written in a way it is able to solve a reader’s query. I’m still far from being an expert to giving advise but while I’m learning I want to share and write it here to help you.
- Have your title catchy and use power words
- Make sure to use longtail keywords
- Quality over quantity
- Use keywords in your article put it in the title, subheadings and body of your article
- Maximize the use of social media. Promote, promote, promote.
- Tell your family and friends
- Join facebook groups related to your niche.
- Take advantage of your pinterest and start a business account (it’s free)
Don’t be scared to seek advice from other bloggers when I launch my website I didn’t know that there are a lot of facebook groups for bloggers it can be overwhelming you don’t need to join all of it just choose a few which you think can help you grow as a blogger and also join groups related to your niche.
Moving to wordpress gave me the opportunity to meet and be inspired with other bloggers. Reading their stories keeps me motivated that I too can make a difference, contribute to readers and improve my life.
I will continue to share tips with my next articles about having your own website so we could grow together. I took advantage of taking bundle courses, investing with courses is also part of learning and improving currently I am stuck with learning one course at a time while writing as well . Check my resources page to see the courses I took here.
