One Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

A mug cake is literally a cake made using a mug with the help of your microwave oven. This one minute chocolate mug cake can be enjoyed alone or share with others. You don’t need fancy baking equipment to make this chocolate mug cake.

Aside from using a mug, you can also use ramekins to microwave this mini chocolate cake. No need to use big baking pans or trays.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (unbleached)
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp dairy-free milk
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • Dairy-free chocolate chips

All you got to do is mix all dry ingredients in a mug, stir with a spoon then add liquid ingredients and stir again. Put the chocolate chips on top. Place in the microwave for 60 seconds.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp dairyfree milk (I use unsweetened almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • chocolate chips (lots of it)

Instructions
 

  • In a mug add all dry ingredients. Cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt then mix until everything is combined.
  • Add liquid ingredients plant based milk, oil, and vanilla then mix again.
  • Add chocolate chips on top and microwave for one minute.
  • Optional: Top with a plant based ice cream and enjoy.

Notes:
  1. To make it lower in calories use applesauce.
  2. You can also use unsweetened soy milk or oat milk.

I saw this recipe on Instagram and recreated my own since it’s very doable. A comforting dessert that is perfect if you don’t have time to bake a whole 8 inches cake.
