For this vegan banana bread, I still use the same amount of sugar which is ½ cup brown sugar, and use 3 overripe bananas. If you would like to bake a classic banana bread that is made vegan and also egg-free and oil-free do check my easy vegan banana bread recipe.

Simply I couldn’t get enough banana bread that I have to bake again after a week of baking it. Banana bread is a great snack and breakfast aside from very easy to do. In this recipe, I use vegan butter instead of applesauce or canola oil. I also added just a pinch of cinnamon, if you would like to make it extra sweet you can increase the sugar to 1 cup instead of just ½ cup sugar.

For the choice of sugar, not all sugar is created equally you can opt for healthier sugar like demerara, muscovado or turbinado, or dark brown sugar but if you do not have brown sugar you can still use your white sugar. For baking, I usually use white granulated or muscovado and dark brown sugar.

You can also increase using banana instead of 3 you make it up to four and mash it into the mixture. This easy vegan marbled chocolate banana bread is baked for about 40 minutes and you do not need to double the recipe, you just have to divide your batter into two and add the cocoa powder in one of the mixtures making sure to combine everything again before pouring into your loaf pan.

For the liquid of this chocolate banana bread, I use unsweetened dairy-free soy milk instead of water to add extra rich flavor and compliment this banana bread. You can use any dairy-free milk of your choice such as almond or oat milk but I would suggest using unsweetened or you can stick in adding just water too.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals especially Potassium, by consuming bananas every day you can meet the daily potassium requirement. Aside from that, it is also a good source of vitamin C and B6 that our bodies need.
